The Democratic Party of Sali Berisha filed a criminal complaint against the businessman Pëllumb Salillari and the mayor of Kuçova, Kreshnik Hajdari, where they are accused of manipulation of the electoral process of the May 14 elections.

It was the deputy Albana Vokshi, who filed the lawsuit in SPAK and in a statement to the media said that she submitted all the evidence and facts for the case in question to the prosecutors.

"I gave all the facts, evidence, photos, videos and I will also send a part in an official letter regarding these two citizens, who during the election campaign - the mayor of Ku?ovo not only used his position, but also having a corrupt, clientelistic relationship with the businessman Pëllumb Salillari. They also used the budget money, financial resources and human resources of the Kuçovo Municipality for electoral benefits", declared Vokshi to the journalists.

She informed that the report was filed for several criminal offenses: abuse of office, active corruption, passive corruption, threats and violence against election participants.

"This is a clear case that proves that corruption money and the government's connection with the oligarchs was used to buy votes, to buy the May 14 elections. It is proven how the state party has abused the money of the Albanians, with all state resources to win the May 14 elections. There are some videos, there are some proofs, which prove the fact that electoral asphalt was laid on some streets and without a project, without permission from the municipality, without information boards, without any standard. It was the residents of Kuçova who stopped the machines of the companies that were paving and also stopped the works, because they were without standards and without permission",  said Vokshi.

Also, she added, there are other cases where abusive projects are evidenced that were awarded at multiples of their real cost, in abuse of the money of the Kucovo Municipality budget for electoral benefits.

Also, said Vokshi, there are videos and concrete proofs where aid bags are distributed door-to-door by Kuçovo municipality employees.

In relation to this lawsuit, Lefter Maliqi, the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the Municipality of Kuçova, reacted on social networks.

"Pellumb Hajdari and his hostage Kreshnik Salillari officially in SPAK for the umpteenth time. Gratitude to the Democratic Party of Albania and its Chairman Professor Doctor Sali Berisha! I am grateful to every resident of Kuçovo who voted and to those who fought with me side by side against the corrupt system and the millions of the oligarchy. For me and for every citizen of Kuçova, the action of the Democratic Party to report the oligarch Pëllumb Salillari and his 'tool' Kreshnik Hajdari and every criminal who supported the above duo to SPAK , is appreciation and an attempt to give Kuçova what she deserves. Acknowledgment! May the right triumph for everyone! There is no turning back," writes Maliqi.
