The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held the next meeting of the rostrum this Monday in the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
At the beginning of his speech, Berisha thanked the citizens for their participation, while stating that the man standing inside this building, referring to Prime Minister Edi Rama, "is the enemy of the people."
"Good evening and warmest greetings, the most boundless gratitude to all of you who gather in this square every week, every Monday, to remind all Albanians that the man standing in this building is a fierce enemy of this nation, a fierce enemy of young Albanians, who are forced in this country with endless wealth to take dirt roads and along with that leave their beautiful dream that they should build here in Albania, but cannot build here.
"Gather here to prove to Albanians that the man standing in this building is an enemy of the European dream of the Albanian nation and that he is ready to protect his criminal activity, his thefts, to make any decision, to trample on any interest, to destroy any future, any dream of Albanians ," Berisha said.
He stated that the departure of young people from Albania is a consequence of misgovernance, emphasizing that the country, according to him, does not offer them opportunities to build their future.
Call for protest on March 17
Berisha called on the citizens of Tirana and the entire country to unite on the 17th in what he described as "the day of the great peaceful uprising", to demand, according to him, that Prime Minister Edi Rama face the law.
"On the 17th we have the day of the great peaceful uprising, I invite the citizens of Tirana and all of Albania to unite to tell Edi Rama that your country is before the law, before the law, before the law! Next Monday, at 7 o'clock, in this square, again to take the face of the one who has no face... Edi Rama!" , said Berisha.
"Rama used the crime warrants to protect himself, but he came out naked!"
Berisha also accused Rama of protecting personal interests and those of his associates, also mentioning Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
"Friends, a few days ago Edi Rama used the prima facie crime warrants to protect Lubi Balluku, in fact he is protecting himself, protecting his family, protecting hundreds of millions and billions of money stolen from Albanian taxpayers and placed in his accounts around the world. His act was ugly, it was unprecedented.
But dear friends, for all Albanians and for all free people in the world, Edi Rama, on the day he protected Lubi Balluku from arrest, committed an act equal to having gone naked on that balcony. Yes, yes, you too, honorable policemen, just as if he had gone naked there for every Albanian and every citizen in Europe to see that this is a thief who has no law or morals. That day, he showed himself for who he is, he proved what you have told him here every Monday. That day, he thought he put up a shield wall for his thefts. But that day he forgot that he invited an entire people to rise up even more strongly to give him what he deserves", said the chief democrat.
Berisha: The "Balluku" case is not closed
Berisha further stated that the issue related to Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku cannot be considered closed, despite Prime Minister Edi Rama's stance.
"My friends, he voted in parliament with the mandates of crime and presented himself as if he had closed it. The case is closed, he said. You close it, but we will not close that case. We will not close it, you thief. You should know that there is no force in the world that can protect you. There is no law in the world that can protect you from the acts you have committed. But the truth is, I tell you here, that not even our partners close it. They know that Albanians, the most beautiful dream, have the European dream. In fact, in 32 years, they have helped Albanians with billions, billions, billions of euros. Their taxpayers are shareholders in the change and transformation of Albania. And now that it was supposed to be protected, I told them, stay, you have nothing to do with me. No, they said, you are not with us, but we are with you.
"That's why today you conveyed the messages in which the first message was that as long as justice functions in Albania, that relationship that is vital for moving forward remains in class and numbered places," said Berisha, adding that the opposition's confrontation will continue until, as he expressed it, the opposition's "victory," also emphasizing the European orientation of Albanian citizens and the commitment to lead the country towards integration.
