President Bajram Begaj participated in the event organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Tirana Prefecture, where in addition to appreciating the historical role of this institution, he also focused on the protests during the last few weeks in the country.

During his speech, the head of state stated that the activity takes place at a moment when citizens are publicly expressing their concerns and expectations in a peaceful manner.

"This activity takes place at a time when citizens are publicly expressing their concerns and expectations in a peaceful manner."

In respect of the constitutional position, constitutional neutrality, I can emphasize that the right to express oneself and to participate in public life is a value protected by the Constitution, which must be exercised in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of the country.

The consolidation of democracy and the sustainable development of the country rely on the joint commitment of citizens and institutions to act in accordance with the Constitution and the national and public interest.

The constitutional framework, together with the rules of the rule of law and democracy, constitute the main guarantee for the proper functioning of society.

"As President of the Republic, I remain committed to protecting the Constitution, the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as to promoting a climate of cooperation and dialogue that serves the national and public interest, the European future, and the country's Euro-Atlantic affiliation and values," said Begaj.
