Prime Minister Edi Rama explained tonight why he put Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta at the center of the local election campaign.

According to him, they are both the black side of Albania and two sides of the same coin, and he is conveying the message of international partners, who, according to him, say that they do not want Albanians to support a non grata like Sali Berisha, but also Ilir The bug that is with him.

"They look like they actually are, because a campaign is being made which has three layers.

The first layer is what happens every day, away from the media attention and with very little attention from the local media, village by village, in small neighborhoods, talking about issues that are related to the community.

The second layer is the campaign that takes place with the candidates and the political representatives who are the political leaders or deputies, with slightly larger meetings, but even these are not in the attention of the media.

And the third layer is the campaign at the national level, where I go, or where those other leaders go, and that campaign cannot be focused elsewhere, because, no matter how much it is relativized here due to the attitude in the media, that an individual declared non grata, practically with the door closed in the future, but with those without whom Albania cannot function, it is treated as a democratic normality and as an alternative. But it is not, in my view. Its not. It is the opposite. It is a black page for Albania, for all of us, because if we are where we are and Albania has never been at a higher point in the international arena and the responsibilities entrusted to us, from the seat on the Security Council of United Nations, this comes from our foreign policy, very wise and dignified, 

When those who support us, not just in terms of security, but in terms of economy, tourism, etc., say it in writing, with a seal, with a voice, with a picture, and repeat it as much as we love you and to move forward , we don't want you to bring forward this individual who is undesirable for us, this message is not sent to the Socialist Party. This is a message to the Albanian society.

Albanians must understand and react to this message. The message is addressed to those Albanians who still do not understand this.
