Since 12:15, Belinda Balluku has been 'confined' in the Prime Minister's Office. She is meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in the government building, a meeting that is not accidental after the GJKKO's decision for two measures. The GJKKO decided to suspend her from duty and block her passport, preventing her from leaving the country.
In a live broadcast for News24, journalist Ergys Gjençaj said that Balluku may appeal the GJKKO decision to suspend him from duty.
"Regarding the moral side, Ms. Balluku should resign from both positions, as Deputy Prime Minister and as Minister of Infrastructure. Meanwhile, if she does not resign, it is up to the Prime Minister to dismiss her."
But legally, she has the right to remain in office, as she can appeal the GJKKO decision.
"It will be the decision of the GJKKO to see how it will proceed next, whether or not its recourse will be accepted. It is expected that details will be revealed in the coming hours," said Gjençaj in a live link from outside the Prime Minister's Office.
