The meeting at the Council of Mandates, where SPAK's request for the removal of the mandate and the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj, has started with debates.
The deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has accused the speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, and the colleagues of the majority of deliberately delaying the case by obstructing justice.
Bardhi called on the socialist members of the Council of Mandates to pave the way for the process to remove the mandate of former minister Arben Ahmetaj, as well as requested that the issue be included in the plenary session of the next day.
"You are collaborating in crime, don't give Arben Ahmetaj more time to hide. Boll dragged the matter on. To be included in the agenda of tomorrow's plenary session and to authorize the prosecution to act. Do not obstruct justice. The opposition has the report ready; to act without any delay, to examine and approve tomorrow", declared Bardhi.
The Socialist Party demands that Ahmetaj's case be included in the special session that will be held on July 17.
