Prime Minister Edi Rama's tour to five countries in the region is expected to start tomorrow with a visit to North Macedonia.

In Skopje, Rama will meet with his counterpart Dimitar Kovacevski, but Rama's visit to North Macedonia will not last long, as the head of the Albanian government will then leave for Pristina.

There, Rama will be received by President Vjosa Osmani and the Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, but it is unclear whether he will be able to meet with Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The latter today refused the meeting with Rama, saying that first the joint meeting of the governments of the two countries should be held.

Rama said he will comment on Kurti's rejection in a statement to the media on Thursday evening.

On Friday, Rama will leave for Bosnia and Herzegovina and then travel to Montenegro.

The Balkan tour of Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to end in Belgrade, where he will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

This tour is seen as an attempt by Rama to reduce tensions between Kosovo and Serbia, after the incidents in the north of the country, for which Prime Minister Rama has committed himself publicly as well as with concrete proposals to the highest EU leaders, for a way to how the parties can return to dialogue.
