The head of the DP Group, Gazment Bardhi, has called the consultations with President Bajram Begaj about the date of the next parliamentary elections a farce, saying that the day when they will take place has been set by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Bardhi said that they have been invited by the Head of State to take part in the congress, on Monday at 10:30, but emphasized that he refuses to be involved in a farcical process.
" Rama-Balla have already set the date of the elections and the President is only expected to sign and seal the will of the party in power. The farce of alleged consultations with political parties and even with individuals without a party, is an ugly act that deserves only to be despised ", says Bardhi.
While the general secretary of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, says that the Democratic Party will not participate in what he has called a farce for setting the date of the 2025 parliamentary elections.
" We are the country's opposition and we cannot participate in farces. The date is set. Taulanti announced it three months ago. With this predetermination, it falls to the President to be not Rame's viceroy, but Taulanti 's, Noka said.
