The Albania Becomes Movement has held its next protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where several dozen citizens have joined the rally.
During his speech, the chairman of the Albania Becomes Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, stated that the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama is at war with the citizens.
This is because, according to Lapaj, the Rama government has sown fear, poverty and drugs. He added that the state in Albania has been put at the service of criminal groups.
While demanding the departure of the entire Albanian political class, Lapaj added that a broad national and international alliance is needed to overthrow the Rama government.
"There is no nation in the world where drugs and organized crime have captured the state. On the contrary, when drugs and organized crime return to the system, poverty prevails, corruption prevails, misgovernment prevails, because the state is placed at the service of crime and this must be fought. Drugs, whether white or red, produce suffering for nations, therefore those who place states at the service of drugs deserve a great war of an international alliance against them.
This government will be remembered as the government that planted drugs, poverty and fear, so we must cut it off from the roots. Some of the police are an extension of crime. Today we are here to prove that we are not afraid.
"On the evening of January 4, after arresting the most zealous boys and girls of this protest, finding me alone in the square, they sent me alone to the square and then they sent people telling me 'withdraw, because you can't continue like this for long'. But we continued and we will continue. We will either remove this political class, or we will all leave. There is no middle ground," Lapaj said, among other things.
