Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha admits that the opposition in Albania has only two alternatives: remove Edi Rama by restoring the free vote of Albanians, or remain a "satellite of the government."

In an interview with journalist Xhoi Malësia on "Top News", Berisha said that the Democratic Party will conduct a full analysis, but will do so after verifying the "electoral farce" of the May 11 elections.

Asked about his future in politics, Berisha said that age doesn't matter when it comes to money.

Excerpt from the interview:

Berisha: There will be an analysis process, but this process will be completed after we prepare the entire black book of the Albanian electoral farce. And we are doing this, we are doing it with great dedication.

How do you see the future of the DP since time is defeating us all?

Berisha: The problem is that I am not guided by formal logic. Years are years, if they manage to affect physical and mental performance, of course. But when you put the years ahead, they have no effect, and what remains is experience. I have invited Edi Rama not to talk to himself but to come to a television studio and do all kinds of tests. To take the prompters with him. To do the drug test, but he does not do that. They have it in Tirana, "the slave ages when he wants to".

You have defeated every person in the DP...

Berisha: You can ask me for anything, but not a successor. He is responsible for many things, I think he made some big mistakes. The 21st elections were a farce and I was not in charge at all. Basha, instead of telling the Albanians this, was running for a coalition with Edi Rama.

The opposition's plan

Berisha: The opposition, to tell the truth, is in a very special alternative. Either return the vote to the Albanians by removing Edi Rama, or remain a worthless satellite of the government. Edi Rama, with the nationalization he made of the diaspora vote, surpassed Putin, Lukashenko, in Berat, Fier, Vlora and remained two points away from Assad of Syria.
