The vote recount process for the Tirana and Fier regions is expected to begin next week. Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, in a press conference, stated that 610,301 votes from both regions will be re-examined, and the recount process is expected to last up to 20 days.

The process will take place in the premises of the "Farie Hoti" Sports Palace and will be carried out by CEC staff, and not by political entities.

" I am providing some technical information. This process will be carried out by CEC staff, in contrast to this process developed after the end of voting and the result is announced, which as a process is carried out by counters and commissioners appointed by political parties. In this case, the process will be carried out by CEC staff. Political parties have no involvement in this process. As you may have noticed, Kas has come to this decision-making at the request of two members of this body, after the claims of electoral subjects and candidates for deputies have been assessed, based on the documentation provided by the CEC and the video footage.

I say this to highlight the fact that the system of administration, supervision of the counting and tabulation of the results has functioned properly because based on that data, the candidates have been given the opportunity to make claims, it remains to be seen how valid these claims are. KAS will decide and dispose of every element of this recount process. It is about the recount of about 610,301 votes for the two regions, Tirana and Fier. We anticipate that it will begin on Monday or Tuesday of next week ,” said Celibashi.
