Invited this afternoon to "News24", the head of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, explained the reason why his party is not part of the "Together We Win" coalition.

He said that if the PR was in this coalition, it would harm it, while adding that he has asked to go with a common candidate in these elections, and even that he would like the DP to be united since it is a process that sooner or later it will happen.

Mediu said that even though he is not registered in this coalition, his party will support the candidates of the Primaries, as he added that their competition and political struggle is only with the Socialist Party. So, he added that all candidates should call all opposition parties to the table and the advisers of these parties to make them part of the staff.

"Edi Rama deliberately changed the constitution and the electoral code and his goal is to have only one political subject. This narrowed the space in an electoral relation of the opposition. We have said that we will have a common candidate and each party will have its own proportional lists. I have requested that there be only one DP. I think it's a process that sooner or later will come. Let us be content with the fact that in many areas we do not have two candidates.

PD of Alibeaj themselves said that we are ready to accept the 61 candidates who came out of the primaries, so these candidates were accepted. What is the difference in the position of the PR if they were registered with the stamp of the DP or without the stamp?! For me, the important thing is who is the favorite candidate to win.

I don't have to change my mind because a pair of minds changed. We will support all the candidates of the Primaries, but what I ask the coalition is not to ignore any opposition factor in the proportional list. All the candidates must shape the big coalition, that is "Together We Win".

We have not written the party in the coalition because it would be harmful. It is necessary that Igli Cara, as Boçi and Këlliçi have done, etc., call all the opposition parties to the table and the advisors of these parties to make them part of their staff.
