Prime Minister Rama says that the justice reform is erasing many years of political scum.

For the first time, people with political power are facing independent justice, said the prime minister, while he also touched on the imprisonment of the opposition leader at that time, Fatos Nanos.

Rama said that he was imprisoned because of the political party in power.

" It is enough to remember Fatos Nano, who was imprisoned not by an independent justice, nor for illegal personal gains, but at the expense of a party in power that then sank Albania into the ruins of the financial pyramids without entering a single thorn in foot. Today, the history of the ruling party that guides and controls justice has come to an end. We led a justice reform that swept away a large part of the corrupt scum with vetting and is now also sweeping away the scum of many years of political tyranny. Note that none of the new EU member states, the ones that joined before, did such a reform before entering the EU. In the region, this has not happened yet, and not even in the countries that opened the negotiations before us, this has not started to be a reform. That's why I'm very confident about why we've made a lot of progress despite the blockades that have been placed on us from one country to another, our future in the EU is not far away, but it's in our hands to bring it closer in the span of 5 years the next ," said Rama.
