Supporters of the far-right Greek nationalist forces are protesting against the presence of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama in Thessaloniki.

Greek media have released footage of a small group of protesters holding Vorio Epirus flags and photographs of Kostandinos Kacifas killed by the police in Bularat of Gjirokastra in October 2018.

Prime Minister Rama's rally is being held under tight security measures.

Demonstrators hung banners with the slogan "Edi Rama leave" and carried flags of Vorio Epiri.

They have thrown slogans: " Rama out of Greece" and "Katsifas lives, you lead us ".

Leaflets with the photo of Kacifa were distributed through the cars, where it is said that he was killed by the Albanian state. The Greek police kept the protesters at a distance, not allowing them to approach.

They say that they are reacting against the presence of the Albanian prime minister in Thessaloniki at a time when "the Albanian state is systematically violating the human rights of the Greek minority of Vorio Epirus", while they are also protesting the murder of Katsifa.

In the meantime, Rama's meeting has started at the Porto Palace hotel.
