Prime Minister Albin Kurti's refusal to host his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama in Pristina has sparked a lot of controversy.
The opposition has strongly criticized this action.
The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, after a meeting with analysts in the country, said that Rama is welcome in Kosovo.
"Obviously, the Prime Minister of Albania is welcome in Kosovo. Every prime minister of Albania should always be welcome in Kosovo. The fact that we discuss such an issue, whether a prime minister of Albania should be welcomed, shows a lot about the situation in which Kosovo has come and we cannot normalize this situation honestly. The Prime Minister of Albania, his position, what he represents and the Albanian people are welcome in their home in Kosovo, always ", said the head of LDK, Abdixhiku.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj said that Kurti should wait for Rama.
"If Prime Minister Edi Rama comes, he is coming for new concerns. I think Kurti is good at ambushing. The situation is serious, I think I should wait. The situation is serious, we are going into isolation. We don't dare to close all the doors", declared Haradinaj.
Prime Minister Rama will be in Pristina as part of the Balkan Tour, which is about the preparations for holding the next summit of the Berlin Process.
But Kurti said that the most urgent is the postponed meeting between the two governments.
"I have kindly asked him that since he is coming to Pristina, we should also hold the meeting of the two governments that were unreasonably cancelled. We had made all the preparations, the agreements have remained in the drawer. The citizens benefit from them, every day lost is a loss for them. I have proposed that we hold a joint meeting of our two governments. Let's sign those agreements."
As he emphasized that he is one of the most ardent supporters of the Berlin Process, the head of the executive in Kosovo recalled that October is still far away, while the pending agreements between the two governments must be signed as soon as possible.
If Rama rejects this request of Kurt, then he emphasized that there will be no bilateral meeting between the two leaders, as he stated, he is in constant contact with his counterpart from Albania.
