The return of the opposition to the parliament, for Sali Berisha, does not contradict a decision that the opposition had taken to boycott the parliamentary activity.
During the conference with journalists, Berisha emphasized that the mass exclusion of democratic deputies from the socialist majority forced them not to be present in the Assembly.
According to him, the misunderstanding was that there is no DP decision to boycott the parliamentary sessions.
"In case we come back to it, you know that our deputies who were not expelled, went to every session, but were blocked at the door illegally. There was no decision, once again, to abandon, to boycott the parliament, which could have been taken, but was not taken," said Berisha.
For the opposition, next year's budget is one of the most important issues in parliament, Berisha asserted, as he added that civil disobedience for the democrats will continue.
"We are obliged to send amendments for these and I do not believe that DP would have understanding from the citizens if it did not debate the budget in the parliament as well. That being said, nothing moves from civil disobedience. I guarantee you this with full responsibility. It will continue in the streets, squares and everywhere," declared Berisha.
Asked if the election of Donald Trump as the head of the USA could undo his non-grata declaration, Berisha was optimistic, but cautious in his answer.
"There is no doubt that I am fully confident that the blow received in the USA by left-wing extremism, led by George Soros, will also come to Albania, as they will no longer be supported as they have been," he added.
