The Complaints and Sanctions Commission dismissed the complaint of the Democratic Party of Lulzim Basha, which sought to be represented by two commissioners in the early elections of Kukës.

KAS has decided to uphold Celibashi's decision and thus PD will have 1 commissioner in the elections for the head of the Kukës Municipality, while the Freedom Party will have 2 commissioners.

The elections in Kukës will be held on September 24 of this year, after the dismissal of the mayor Safet Gjici, who became the protagonist of a sexual video scandal in the office of the city municipality just a few days after he was re-elected.

The political parties have not yet chosen their candidates for the Kukës race.
