Sali Berisha has given the government until February 13 to think about the DP's proposal to recognize the identification documents of immigrants in the foreign countries where they were produced.

Berisha stated that otherwise the Democratic Party will not vote for the amendments requested by the government.

The leader of the Democratic Party emphasized that they aim to give as many Albanian immigrants as possible the right to vote in the May 11 elections.

Sali Berisha: If the government will not recognize the identity documents of citizens of foreign countries where they were produced, we will not vote on the amendments requested by the government.

We are not voting for them. We are demanding that as many citizens as possible enjoy their Constitutional rights, they are demanding that as few citizens as possible exercise their Constitutional rights and we are not raising our hands, no, we will not vote.

If the recognition of documents is voted on, we will also vote on the CEC's request to move the deadlines. We are not violating the constitution, it does not say that one must have a passport. We are making the vote conditional on the recognition of their Constitutional right, they have until the 13th to think.
