The meeting of the leadership of the Socialist Party in Mirdita, in connection with the local elections of May 14, was accompanied by strong debates, up to physical clashes.
The media write that they announced that some of the leaders of this political force in the Administrative Units have opposed the candidacy of Ndrec Deda for a third term.
They have considered him as a worn-out figure and without electoral support, this, according to them, has also been proven through polls.
But these claims have been opposed by the rest of the socialists who support the current Mayor Ndrec Dedaj and one of them punched one of the socialist representatives who was against Dede's candidacy.
Under these conditions, the meeting was interrupted and the police had to intervene. Meanwhile, the Socialist Party in the center has not yet confirmed the name of the candidate of the Socialist Party for the Municipality of Mirdite, in the May 14 elections.
We remember that 4 years ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Rrëshen where he had a conversation with the citizens, as part of the "Municipality we love" tour. One of the citizens took the microphone and demanded that Ndrec Deda no longer run for mayor in Mirdita.
" Don't make Ndrec Deda run for mayor in Mirdi since we on the right sometimes want to win. Don't tell us for God's sake that you have business with us then ," said the citizen.
