The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Salianji, gave a statement to the media immediately after the closing of today's session at the Court of Appeal for the "Babale" case, where he gave his arguments as to why he is seeking the dismissal of the relator judge, Edlira Petri.

According to Salianj, this is the several times that the session has been postponed, but not because of his or his legal representatives' fault. He mentioned the fact that in this case there is a conflict of interest due to the fact that her husband, Sokol Sadushi, has familiarity and family friendship with former minister Fatmir Xhafaj.

" Today, because this case has been postponed by the court for a long time, it was not because of us. Today I asked for an exception due to the bias of the relator judge.

The judge did not leave a mark on it and threw the file out of order only a few days before this file was to be re-examined.

Thirdly, the family friendship of the judge's husband, Sokol Sadushi, with Fatmir Xhafa is known.

For these and all other procedural reasons, we requested the dismissal of the judge, who, because she knew these facts, should not have taken over the case at all.

Meanwhile, after Salianji's request for the dismissal of the relator judge, the trial panel decided to postpone the session, to give time to another panel to express its opinion on this request.
