Prime Minister Edi Rama continued today with the "Sy m'sy" column, likely the last one until the elections in the series of communications with commentators on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Rama announced today that the opening of the next group chapter in the negotiations for Albania's membership in the European Union has been approved. He stressed that so far 16 group chapters have been opened and 8 more will be opened soon, bringing the total number to 24 out of 35.
He emphasized that this rapid progress is an indicator of Albania's commitment and political will to meet European standards.
"The next set of negotiation chapters was approved to be opened. We have opened 16, we are opening 8 more now, making 24, 11 more remain to be opened. I am confident and I hope and wish that with the new power of May 11, we will open the others within this year. This would be a record because no country has opened all of them in one year. The fate of Europe is in our hands," he said.
