Also, according to official data, 92% of the envelopes sent have been received by citizens, while 20,234 voters, or about 8%, have not yet received their voting materials.
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, said in a press conference that around 11,000 citizens were unable to receive the envelope due to inaccuracies in their contact details, such as residential addresses, emails or phone numbers. The rest were contacted, but did not react to communication from the postal services.
For these citizens, the deadline to receive the envelopes will be until May 8, while the envelopes with the ballot must arrive by the end of the voting period, that is, by Sunday at 7:00 PM, to be considered valid./Monitor
