The Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction has announced today that it has accepted the request of DP deputy Ervin Salianji for the exclusion from his case of judge Edlira Petri.

At the end of the review, in the Judicial Advisory Chamber Elona Mihali, decided:

- Accepting the request of the applicant Mr. Ervin Salianji, for the exclusion of judge Edlira Petri from consideration of the criminal case no. 3473 regj dated 19.02.2020, as well as decided the declaration of inadmissibility of the request of the applicant Jetmir Olldashi with the object of exclusion of the court, as a request that remained without object after the decision no. 180 dated 11.03.2023 of the Court of Appeal, which is disposed of the dismissal of judge Edlira Petri from criminal case no. 3473 dated 19.02.2020

Following the information, on the criminal case with the defendants Jetmir Olldashi and Ervin Salianji, accused of committing the criminal offense "False accusation" carried out in cooperation, provided by articles 305 and 25 of the Criminal Code, victim/complainant of the criminal offense, citizen Geron (Agron) Xhafaj, we inform you as follows:

In the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction, today on 11.03.2023, at 11:00, the request with object: Exclusion of judge Edlira Petri, made by the defendant Ervin Salianji, was examined in the Counseling Chamber.

Also, today on 11.03.2023, at 11:30, a request was examined in the Counseling Chamber with the object: The exclusion of judge Edlira Petri, made by the representative of the defendant Jetmit Ollashi, av. Indrit Sefa.

The opinion of Judge Edlira Petri, for whom the requests for exclusion were presented, was made available to the judge who examines the requests for exclusion.

At the end of the review, in the Judicial Advisory Chamber Elona Mihali, decided:


- Accepting the request of the applicant Mr. Ervin Salianji,

 The exclusion of judge Edlira Petri from consideration of the criminal case with no. 3473 reg dated 19.02.2020.

- The declaration of inadmissibility of the request of the applicant Mr. Jetmir Olldashi with the object of exclusion by the judicial body, as a request that remained without object after the decision no. of judge Edlira Petri from criminal case no. 3473 dated 19.02.2020
