The High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhely, are expected to come to Tirana on March 16. EU officials will gather in the Albanian capital for the Stabilization-Association Council.

The Stabilization-Association Council meets once a year to carry out a general assessment on the implementation of the SAA (Stabilization-Association Agreement) and examines any important issues that arise in the context of its implementation.

In addition, the political dialogue at the parliamentary level between Albania and the EU takes place in the framework of the SAA, which foresees the creation of the Parliamentary Stabilization and Association Committee, which consists of members of the European Parliament and the Assembly of Albania.
