Sali Berisha's lawyer spoke to the media after the session at the Special Court of Appeal, where the democratic leader's request to participate in the plenary sessions was examined.

Genc Gjokutaj said that the decision will be announced at 15:30. But he said that SPAK wants to treat Berisha with the law of convicts.

"The session was held on the basis of a debate. They absolutely do not accept... the prosecution and SPAK believe that Mr. Berisha should be treated according to the law of convicts and detainees", said Gjokutaj.

"They absolutely do not accept, they demand to be treated as a simple individual, regardless of his mandate".

The lawyer stated again that the purpose of the court is to burn the mandate of the opposition leader.

"This is Rama's strategy and they have delayed this issue. Until today, they have managed to realize this scenario through this captured court. We will oppose it with legal means. We have said it. The decision of the court will be revealed at 15:30", said Gjokutaj.
