Gazment Bardhi clashes harshly with Minister Pirro Vengu: Your fate is already

Today's parliamentary session was accompanied by debates, after the Democrats filed charges against the Albanian Minister of Defense and Security.

In his speech, Minister Vengu emphasized that the commitments he has had since 2022, where he requested the inclusion of Corridor 8 and the Durrës port complex, Porto Romani, in the alliance's critical infrastructure, are improving Albania's situation. 

As soon as Vengu mentioned Bardhi's switch from supporting Lulzim Basha to Sali Berisha, the latter became irritated and exploded with accusations against the minister. 

Bardhi said that Vengu is endangering the security of Albanians.

Excerpts from the remarks at the hearing:

Vengu: You spend your time blackening the country and you transfer political slander to every possible media or political frequency. You, my dear colleague, have also formulated political lynching as a weapon, but the only courage you have is the transition from Luli to the doctor. Regarding the port of Durres, I remember very well how it was many years ago and how it is now.

I invite you to visit again and again because you do not know Albanian logistics. I was part of a NATO ministerial, important for us because the decision was made that was insistently requested by the Albanian government.

Since 2022, I have been part of the team that has sought the inclusion of Corridor 8 and the Durrës port complex in Porto Romano in the alliance's critical infrastructure .

Bardhi: Mr. Minister, you are wasting your time because this government will change and your fate is already written. You continue to be a threat to national security in your new position as Minister of Defense.
