Benet Beci, the winning candidate of the Socialist Party for the May 14 elections, took the oath today as the new mayor of Shkodra.

In his first speech, Beci said that from today, a new wind starts for the municipality of Shkodra and its citizens.

In his speech as the first citizen of Shkodra, Beci said that the work should start to improve the quality of life of the citizens.

"We have to work for the children of tomorrow, for Shkodra that surpasses itself and anticipates developments and challenges", he said.

Meanwhile, in a post on Facebook, Beci also posted a photo from the moment he took office, where he met with former mayor Bardh Spahia.

The satisfaction that the constitution meeting ended with a meeting with Mr. Bardh Spahia. I wished him success in his new commitments and assured him that the door will always be open for the good of Shkodra.
