Russian funding in PD? Rama: If I had more information, I would give it to
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken today about the accusations from the opposition that the Russian funding to the PD was a matter that was created by him with the cooperation of the former senior FBI official Charles McGonigal.

Rama said that he found out about the scandal like many others when it was published by BIRN and that if he had more information or documents he would give them to the senior FBI official or any other FBI official.

" It's interesting how the panorama of lies is painted, alluding that what happened with the scandal of receiving Russian money to overthrow the government in Tirana, is a trick related to me and McGonigal.

I found out about the scandal like many others when it was published by BIRN. Even in the indictment, the dates of mention of this fact are in that period when there was media coverage of that scandal.

I didn't have any more information or documents, and we didn't have anything more in any institution than what BIRN has revealed because if we had I would have given it to the top FBI official or any other FBI official or if they told me s it's for me, I would ask them where I should take it because it is about the interference of Russian money in our country through DP. I didn't because I didn't have any more information.

This has nothing to do with me or my government. As far as I am concerned, I have never made information available to him or asked for any incentive from the gentleman in question because I did not have any ," said Rama on Top Channel.
