The Committee for Legal Affairs met today to discuss some additions related to the salary increase of the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania.

The former Minister of the Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj, has spoken out against the salary increase for Constitutional Court judges, as long as their salary is higher than that of SPAK and GJKKO judges and prosecutors.

"A judge of the Constitutional Court gets 644,640 ALL and one of the GJKKO who judges from morning to dinner gets 376,380 ALL.

I am not against salary increases, the judges of the Constitutional Court have a higher salary, but personally I do not understand how all this is built, this large proportion and the fact that they have a great difficulty in their work over those who judge crime, corruption that they also investigate and judge for corruption.

You entered a circle without much healthy logic, I personally judge. I am in favor of the salary increase, but within a logic, and I am against the additional 58% that you have added for the difficulty ", he said.
