The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , told reporters at today's conference that the protests and civic revolt of Albanians will only end when the hated regime of Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku is overthrown.
He accused the majority leader of only seeking blood at all costs and of using police officers as "cannon fodder", just as he used citizens on January 21, 2011.
Berisha denied that there were any police officers injured in the February 10 opposition protest, noting that the protesters' goal is not to confront the police, but rather the hated regime and the snipers who injured 3 of them with rubber bullets, Molotov cocktails, and tear gas, as well as opposition MPs, such as Bledjon Nallbati.
"They injured our protesters. Those three could not have been here today. One has a blow to the forehead, the other to the body, among them a woman. He wants blood at all costs (Rama). They deployed snipers. Ordinary police officers are much closer to the protesters than to Rama's criminal organization. That's why we don't have any injured police officers. The problem is the snipers," said Berisha, answering one of the journalists' questions regarding the balance of the protest and the reactions.
He emphasized that citizens do not resort to violence in the streets or attack police officers, while noting that the hated faces of Rama and Balluk appeared in all international media on February 10 and the revolt is becoming stronger.
"They don't go there for violence and to shoot police officers. They go for hatred towards Edi Rama, yes, that's where all the popular hatred is concentrated. But he will use the police as cannon fodder, as he used the citizens in 2011. But this is different, we will win this battle, we will even win the war. You have seen it, the protest of February 10 was extraordinary, all the television networks in the world, showing the hateful faces of Belinda Balluku and Edi Rama, you saw it yourself", continued the head of the blue headquarters.
The opposition leader warned the prime minister that they will not stop until they show him the place, as his documents only contain signatures for theft.
"For Edi Rama, we will not stop until we show him the place, because there is only theft, signatures, signatures, there is nothing else for him...", Berisha concluded.
