With the slogan "Change in your hands", the opposition officially started today the journey towards the May 14 elections. The opening rally is taking place at the "Air Albania" stadium.

In addition to sympathizers, all 61 candidates for mayors and candidates for municipal councils are present at the stadium. Chief Democrat Sali Berisha and the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, are also present.

The meeting started with the presentation of all the candidates of the "Together We Win" coalition.

Further, DP spokesperson, Floriana Garo led the opening ceremony. Garo said she also presented a documentary, as she said, for young people in order to get to know the history of the "glorious" period of the DP.

The figure of Sali Berisha was placed in the center of the documentary since the founding of the DP. And since Berisha has been declared non grata by Washington, meetings and visits with the Americans also took up a lot of space, where the moment of the meeting with Hilary Clinton, the visit of President George Bush and the meeting with President Barack Obama were shown on video. This is a scheme to show the Democrats that he had good relations with the Americans.

"These were the best days for Albanians wherever they lived! DP was a ladder that was climbing Albania up in European aspirations. The SP has never achieved a victory close to that of the Democrats," the documentary said.

But what was openly eaten in the DP's history was the "deletion" of Lulzim Basha and the glorification of the figure of Berisha. The history of the DP began with the establishment until 2005, then silence for the period 2013-2023 when the DP was led by Lulzim Basha, then the inclusion in the documentary of the Reestablishment of Sali Berisha. In the documentary, several sequences of photos of Enkelejd Alibeaj were shown, describing him as a crutch and sold to Rama.
