The vice-chairman of the Central Election Commission, Lealba Pelinku, in "Interview for Merita Haklajn" on A2, raised the concern of the change of voting centers for 1.3 million voters.
She said that she does not know the reason why such a thing happened and has not yet received an answer from the General Directorate of Civil Status.
Pelinka calls on citizens to check where they vote, otherwise there is a risk of chaos on voting day.
"I still do not have an answer from the General Directorate of Civil Status regarding the change of the voting center for nearly 1.3 million voters. In February of this year, the big change happened.
Whatever reason the Civil Registry had, the rules of the game cannot be changed once the game has started. We know very well that many voters may give up because of this issue. The final list has already been published and it is very important that the voters are informed, since to my knowledge the municipalities have not fulfilled that obligation to show the voters where they have the voting center. We risk chaos in the voting centers", said Pelinku.
