The latest amendments to the Criminal Code provide for a sentence of up to 6 months in prison for double parking.

Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has published a video on Facebook showing that the first violator of the law is a police car.

Braca's reaction:

"Today, at 03:00 in the morning, the Parliament voted on the amendments to the Criminal Code.

Among them is the criminalization of double parking, which is now considered a criminal offense and is punishable by a fine or up to 6 months in prison.

"This penalty is only applied in cases where double parking impedes the movement of vital service vehicles, such as: ambulances; firefighters; police," the SP MP writes, alongside the video.
