Braçe talks about leaving Divjaka: I didn't expect it well, but...

Erion Braçe, the Socialist Party MP, spoke on the program "NOW with Erla Mëhillin" about his departure from Divjaka and transfer to Unit No. 5 in Tirana.

He explained that for 12 years he had represented Divjaka and after 2017 four more units were added.

According to Braçe, after the loss of his friend, Bashkim Fino, in 2021, he was also granted a part of the city of Lushnja.

Braçe admits that leaving Divjaka was not an easy process.

"Without a doubt, I did not welcome Divjaka's departure. Even a mandate, as an MP, creates a close human connection with the area you represent. It seems to me that it becomes a part of everyday life. As an MP, my duty is to meet with people, listen to their problems and raise their voices in parliament," he emphasized.

Braçe added that the job of a deputy is to engage in solving citizens' problems and not remain passive.

"Systems should solve citizens' problems, but the MP cannot do nothing. He must hold the area accountable and lobby for its people," said Braçe.

He also emphasized that the connection between the MP and the electorate is something that is created naturally.

Regarding the move to Unit 5, Braçe described it as a step towards his habitat.

"Unit No. 5 is in my habitation, it is my home, I am in my mother's house because I also have my parents there. It is a left-wing area, which has had developments over the past 35 years, without being denatured. It is an area that needs to be cured and I took a tour for almost 6 hours to see the problems that the residents face there," said Braçe.
