Borell: Albania committed to the EU membership path

The next meeting of the Stabilization-Association Council between the European Union and Albania is being held today in Tirana.

It was Prime Minister Edi Rama who shared some images from the reception of the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles, as well as the Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement in the EU, Oliver Varhelyi.

After the meeting of the Council, Prime Minister Rama, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles, and the Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement in the EU, Oliver Varhelyi, will give a joint press conference.

"I am happy to start my day in Tirana where we will hold the Stabilization-Association Council with Prime Minister Edi Rama - historically for the first time in Albania.

This reflects the clear commitment to Albania's EU membership and the appreciation for its strategic orientation in foreign policy as well," says Borrell.
