Following the Socialist Party National Assembly held last Saturday, Prime Minister and Socialist leader Edi Rama made important changes in the political direction of the regions, aiming to consolidate structures and improve electoral results.

During the meeting, the achievements and challenges of the Albanian left were highlighted, while decisions were made for changes in several districts. In six of them, new political leaders were appointed, while in six others, the existing leaders were retained, receiving the blessing of the Prime Minister and the party chairman.

Among the most important changes that were reported in the media was that of Shkodra, where Minister Enea Karakaci was appointed instead of Mayor Benet Beci, as well as Tirana, which was entrusted to Taulant Balla.

As a result, Elisa Spiropali left the political co-leadership of the capital and was assigned to Unit No. 13 in Tirana. The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Blendi Klosi, recently spoke about these changes, rejecting the "rumors" and insinuations that have circulated regarding the dismissal of Elisa Spiropali.

He emphasized that there is no room for "news" in the left's changes, and that every socialist who contributes to the party's structures plays a key role in their success.

"Everywhere in the SP and if you follow the networks you will see an activation of the entire structure. We will hold a re-meeting. I think it is the best way to assimilate the issues that arise in the campaign. The analysis we did at the last assembly highlighted both the great achievements and the areas where they can have

Shkodra has been one of the districts that we have had positive results in. Taking over the Shkodra municipality and the service that the SP has given to Shkodra through Mayor Beci and the way in which the service to citizens has been transformed, made us realize that Shkodra, even though we are not the winner in the district, Shkodra is growing for us. It is a fact that this leadership of the SP in Shkodra has given us this. Beneti is withdrawing from the leadership, but not for lack of success, but the incumbent mayor's race cannot be a race...

We have not entered into the discussion of names, but I said, being in the position of a mayor, that we have a loss in Puka, if you look at Shkodra we have an increase and we have a not very positive result in Puka. This requires that we have a concentration in Shkodra and although it is in the districts that it has not exceeded 50%, it is in the districts that it has experienced an increase.

"There is no news in the movements of the Socialist Party, we are all there to give our contribution, somewhere in one position, somewhere in another, once in one task, once in another task, as long as we serve the Socialist Party and as long as we win, we should all be proud. Every simple socialist is a great contributor to the victory, not only do we win, but we serve Albania," he said.
