The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated in a press conference that Albanians have paid over 300 million euros for Linda Rama's "dowry palace".
He described the "Surrel Mafia" as the most dangerous in Europe and accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of corruption in tenders and public works.
Berisha said that there is no official customs, tax or construction invoice for the construction of the palace.
According to him, the investigation into the origin of the wealth was discontinued after the dismissal of former HIDAA official, Zana Xhuka.
He added that the company that built the palace benefited from inflated funds in the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road project, bringing the cost to around 300 million euros.
BERISHA'S WORD:
The Surrel mafia is the most dangerous mafia in Europe.
It is the mafia that costs Albanians hundreds and billions of euros in every public work, in every tender.
Today I have chosen to stop before the Albanian citizens about how much they pay for Linda Rama's dowry palace.
The palace for which Linda Rama and her husband, the nation's chief thief, Edi Rama, are unable to present even a single customs, tax, construction, environmental or any other kind of invoice.
So, the dowry palace built in the palace square, on their land, this should be emphasized. It was the land of the Basha family, Basha is Mrs. Rama's maiden name.
So, built on the palace square in violation of any urban planning conditions.
But this is a separate chapter.
The other chapter is that the lady cannot present even a single invoice for the 5-story palace above ground, how many are underground, go and check it out for yourself.
When this super scandal was denounced with documents by the DP at the time, and when the HIDAA began the investigation procedure into the origin of the palace, the origin of the palace without any invoice, Edi Rama swiftly dismissed Mrs. Zana Xhuka, one of the most serious officials of the state administration, dismissed her in an unconstitutional, illegal manner only to protect himself and his family from the palace that fell on or as if by parachute from Linda Rama, which she said was built with blood money.
I don't believe that her brother in emigration is involved in either drugs or murder. No. But how she uttered that word, I know for myself and this is their family matter.
But now listen to how much Albanians pay for a palace.
Albanians pay for a palace, as their own popular expression says, more than a Frenchman pays for a chicken.
Albanians, the company that built the palace, the 2T company of the famous Sako, brother of the former guard commander, currently mayor of Tepelena, are paying not 100 or 200, but at least 300 million euros after the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road, started in 2009, 43 kilometers, estimated at an amount of 73 million dollars from the Islamic Bank, this road after 2013 was entrusted to the builder of the palace as a dowry.
The builder Sako, on the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road, managed to inflate the prices, the word is to 310 million, the truth is about 400 million euros in the most incredible way.
