The "Together We Win" coalition closed the campaign in the city of Elbasan this Friday.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha said in his speech that Rama's campaign was conducted with mockery of the citizens.
He emphasized that Rama started the campaign with tritol and ended it with arrests.
"These two days, let's invite together every citizen of Elbasan, every Albanian citizen. Let's reflect on our economic situation, think about how many times in our stores we are burdened by ever-increasing prices. Let's think about the long lists, which get longer and longer and become longer and longer, because many of our fellow citizens do not have the means to pay for their daily food. To think about how we send children to school and do not meet their needs.
All these have come because for many years, Elbasan and Albania have been governed by the same regime and it has passed from mandate to mandate, from rain to hail. That's why I invite you to vote for the change on May 14 and don't forget that Edi Rama covered everything I said above in this campaign with mockery for the citizens, insults for the opponents, and slurs for the guests. Covered them with tricks as usual.
He started this campaign, as you can witness with tritol, ended it with shame, with arrests. They continue with a series of tricks. Didn't he promise to raise wages, the average wage to 900 euros. Isn't he mocking in this way the Albanian citizens who face scarcity and poverty. What help do Albanians receive from this government today, when only 20% of them benefit from economic aid.
Let's turn these 48 hours into 48 hours of our reflection, and let's then stop and think about the people who have left our families, our relatives, our loved ones. Most of them have left because of lack of property, unemployment, impossibility, violations of their freedoms and rights. You yourself know clearly how tens of thousands of Albanians were arrested for electricity bills like in no other country," said Berisha .
