Compulsory voting ends the purchase of the right to vote. Sali Berisha proposes this after losing the May 14 elections. During a conversation with citizens on Facebook, he said that Greece and Australia also have this law.
"Compulsory voting that invalidates the purchase of the right to vote. Shopping is of two types today. One is the purchase of voting rights; that is; take this money, don't vote and he doesn't vote because he sold the right to vote, and so on; take this money and vote for me. If there is compulsory voting like Greece and Australia have, and my friends in Australia have told me that one of the reasons we put this law in place was to put an end to buying the right to vote."
Bringing attention to the 2011 elections and the "Dushku" phenomenon, he accused Doshi of having received over 200,000 votes without giving any speech and without any program.
"We have a fact in these elections, Dushkun-Doshi, who received over 200,000 votes without giving a speech, without having a meeting, without presenting a program except for the alliance with Edi Rama and Lulzim Brava. If we do not stand against this monstrous crime, this country's chances for elections are non-existent. PD needs to open up, but if PD and the opposition do not face each other to guarantee a free vote, to guarantee that other elections will not remain an element, there will be no chance of having any opposition mandate in the coming parliament".
