The President of PD Sali Berisha says that he will cooperate with Prime Minister Edi Rama only to change the Electoral Code.

In a conversation with citizens on Facebook, Berisha emphasized that this would be his only cooperation with Rama if it happens.

"I would not accept any form of cooperation with Edi Rama other than changing the electoral law. Something he does not accept", said Berisha.

As for the cooperation with Lulzim Basha, Sali Berisha said that he has resigned from the party.

"As far as Lul Basha is concerned, he is a deputy and has not submitted his mandate. He has committed the serious act of self-removal from the DP, as the Statute has no exception, but he who in the electoral campaign puts out candidates against his party, he is considered self-removal in all codes of the world", said Berisha.

Berisha also praised the coalition with Ilir Meta's party in these elections, even though the opposition got a poor result.

In the conversation with the citizens on Facebook, Sali Berisha said that the coalition "We win together" was also necessary for the candidates of the primaries not to register as independents.

According to Berisha, an attempt was made to annihilate the Democratic Party in these elections, and for this he accuses Prime Minister Edi Rama and not only him.

"I think that the Freedom Party has been completely playful and it had no interest as a party to make a coalition, but it made this coalition so that the opposition would have a greater power, otherwise, as you saw, our candidates will were forced to register as independent because Edi Rama and his judges, executors of the law in the courtroom, received the logo and seal of the DP. In these circumstances, I guarantee that Edi Rama would have given the greatest reward to Ilir Meta, if he did not accept the coalition with DP. We must have political judgement. The attempt was one and only one, to annihilate the DP in this electoral farce. This attempt failed. PD received 40 percent of the electorate's vote. We were faced with the circumstance that Edi Rama and not only him, wanted at all costs to eliminate us from the electoral map of the country", said Berisha.
