The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has reacted after the presentation of the protesters' demands at the rally held in front of the Prime Minister's Office, read by former KLA fighter, Dritan Goxhaj.
Through a post on social media, Balla declared that with Goxhaj's appearance on behalf of the protesters, "the scenario" of the protests was completely revealed, describing him as "the spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran in Albania."
According to Balla, Goxhaj has long held public positions in support of the Iranian regime, while criticizing the United States, Israel, and Albania.
"The statement with demands on behalf of the protesters was made by the 'spokesperson' of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Albania," Balla wrote, adding that he considers it unacceptable for a former member of the KLA to defend, according to him, Tehran's interests against Western allies.
In his reaction, the socialist MP also emphasized the role of the US in the liberation of Kosovo, stating that without American support, Kosovo's independence and freedom would not have been possible.
Balla closed the reaction with criticism of the protest participants, claiming that the identity and intentions of the organizers are becoming increasingly clear.
His reaction comes shortly after the protest coordination group published a list of demands addressed to the government, which include the resignation of the prime minister, the creation of a caretaker government, and a series of constitutional and legal changes.
