The Court's decision to consider Fredi Beler's arrest in flagrante delicto as legal has been described as wrong by his lawyer, Geni Gjyzari, who also accused the police of its actions.
"We asked this to the court, that we were not in the conditions of flagrante, even simulation of the police, by an individual that the police use regularly as in the time of communism. This is a political accusation and a political setup", said the lawyer.
The lawyer also cited the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition as having rejected the accusations at the hearing. "At no time was the accusation proven, nor the existence of the lists", the lawyer quoted him.
"He was leaving the bar and the method of kidnapping proved that nothing was found."
The lawyer explained that Beleri will now be transferred to Tirana, because the case passed to the jurisdiction of the Special Court. According to him, within 10 days the Special Court will decide on the legality of the arrest measure.
