Prime Minister Edi Rama answered one of the most provocative questions of the press conference, in the context of the political situation created after two voluminous and sensational SPAK files, " Balluku " and " AKSHI ", as well as the political pressure of the opposition that, through protests, is demanding a technical government, resignation and new elections.

He dismissed the idea of a caretaker government or elections, recalling that they won 83 seats in the May 11 elections.

While asked why he should resign, the Prime Minister added that he could not do this act for the AKSHI, because that institution is a success story.

"If this process is happening today, it is primarily the merit of this political force. You have seen the reactions of others when their hair is touched, what they say. You have sometimes heard from me, not insults, but sentences that go towards attacking the reputation, pressure or threat of these bodies. This is a necessary process that has its own problems. We received 83 mandates in June, what did we get them for, resignation for AKSHI? AKSHI is an institution of pride, not to lower your head, but to be proud of", said the leader of the majority.

He further added to the achievements of this institution, underlining that it has saved Albanians 620 million euros and 760 thousand years of waiting, equivalent to 25 thousand orbits around the Earth.

"There used to be a queue for a document, a long queue for a certificate, those who were waiting outside had to come here to get it, 620 billion lek has been saved by AKSHI, over 760 thousand years of waiting in line. That's 25 thousand rotations around the Earth," he said.

Regarding the political situation and the level of corruption, Rama continued to raise rhetorical questions to which he responded with subtext that this was the most successful year for Albania, after opening all the chapters for negotiations with the EU and hosting leaders from all over the world at the Tirana Summit on May 16.

"This is Albania's most successful year. And this is thanks to the governing force, thanks to our force. Albania opened all chapters for negotiations with the EU. Albania hosted a summit where it hosted all the leaders of the world and the EU. Did they come to a corrupt country? What do you think? Did they come to a country of media and political hotbeds? No, never, never," he said.
