Prime Minister Edi Rama answered the question tonight if he thinks that the opposition led by Sali Berisha should be registered in the elections. Rama said in "Opinion" that the DP stamp issue is a matter for the court. He emphasized that the Socialist Party has nothing to do with who goes to the elections, but will present its alternative.
I am asking you as a citizen of the Republic of Albania. Do you think that the opposition should enter the elections and register the opposition that is there?
Edi Rama: What does it mean to register the opposition that is there?
Participate in elections.
Edi Rama: What is the opposition there?
The opposition represented by PD, led by Sali Berisha.
Edi Rama: This is a matter that, as far as I know, is in court.
Until the court gives an answer they may not enter the election at all.
Edi Rama: It is a matter for the court.
And neither party may register.
Edi Rama: This is not my topic at all.
How will you go to the elections without opposition?
Edi Rama: We have nothing to do with who goes to the elections. Elections are an offer. So the people, through the Constitution, open the competition and wait for the offers. We will go there with our offer as we always have. If someone says I don't have an offer because I don't have a seal, the other says I don't have an offer because I don't have a signature, the other says I don't have an offer because I don't have this, the problem is somewhere else, that's their business. This is not a conversation for me here.
