Sali Berisha

The President of the Democratic Party and the leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha , after his speech at the conference, where he condemned the police violence against the protesters yesterday in front of the Prime Minister's Office and the Parliament, said that the civic revolt will not stop until the departure of Rama's phalanx regime and that it is a response to the scandals of Balluk and the head of government's suite.

Berisha responded to journalists' questions that the protest will not only continue, but next time it will be even more massive.

"I assure you that the next protest, the next one, will be even more massive. This is the last kilometer, the last step before the final victory," said the head of the blue headquarters, among other things.

He also congratulated the participants in the protest, calling them freedom fighters. The DP leader emphasized the participation of young people in the protest, describing it as the most significant element of the rally.

According to him, the presence of the youth has caused a harsh reaction from the prime minister, whom he accused of using offensive language towards the young protesters.

"There will definitely be protests and only protests. We are in the last mile, all our potential, we are infinitely grateful for the civic response. I have a call for every citizen, once again, this is not a protest for a person or a party, it is a protest of civic conscience, the next protest will be even more massive," he said.

He further emphasized that this was a civic response and revolt against scandals such as Balluku and AKSHI, where taxpayers' money is wasted.

"When we say that hundreds of millions of euros have been stolen, such as the Tirana incinerator, the Llogara tunnel, the Vlora airport, AKSHI and others, they are not only the children of those opposition members who are protesting, but of all children. The most cardinal feature in that protest was the youth in action and therefore the horror of Rama who called the dignified and courageous young people who had come out for their conscience against him neighborhood thugs," said Berisha, also responding to Rama's statement today, which accused the protesters of being paid by the opposition.

And finally, a call to Albanian citizens and the police:

"Do not become a shield against a great evil that Albania has never known in its history. This is the last kilometer, nothing will stop us without reaching the victorious finish. Let's show Albanians and the world that we do not give up, let's also show Rama's friends that they have supported a godfather like this. You saw the scale of the protest that will become irresistible and I assure you that it will be."
