WhatsApp brings the new feature, how the messages will change

In an effort to make it easier to save connections, notes and memories, Meta-owned WhatsApp is working to introduce a feature that will allow users to more easily send messages to themselves.

The world's most popular messaging platform is conducting a trial by delivering "self-messages" to a select group of WhatsApp beta testers.

According to WABetaInfo, with the new 2.22.24.2 beta version of WhatsApp for Android, beta testers can try out the “Messages to yourself” feature.

" Since some of you are wondering what the changes are when you send messages to your phone number after the update, here's the answer: nothing. WhatsApp is just highlighting the conversation with your phone number using a different title. We would also like to take advantage of this article to announce that some beta testers may also notice a better synchronization of messages within the chat with their phone number than before: if you send a message in the chat with your phone number phone, it will always sync with your other connected devices as it is no longer an unsupported feature when using multiple devices ," WABetaInfo wrote on its website.

Also, within the Android app, the chat with your phone number will also be available in your contact list on the platform, so that it becomes easier for you to reach your chat if you don't have it in the chat list.

Meanwhile, according to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is likely to get a new privacy feature in which the Meta-owned company will block the ability to take snapshots of media files like photos and videos that are shared as "View once". To recall, earlier in August, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced on Facebook three new privacy features that would be rolled out to users, including online status, past participants and screenshot blocking.
