The famous Albanian soprano, Ermonela Jaho, was part of the gala evening in honor of Sir Antonio Pappano, at the Royal Opera House.
She met with King Charles III, where they were photographed next to each other on the big stage of the opera, after the completion of the important organ.
Ermonela Jaho performed together with other colleagues, Insung Sim, tenor Freddie De T.ommaso, Aigul Akhmetshina, Jonas Kaufmann and Bryn Terfel.
The gala performance was held in honor of Sir Antonio, director of operatic music, who is stepping down after 22 years as music director at the Royal Opera House. Charles is particularly close to Pappano, who served as conductor at the King's Coronation last year.
Charles, who has been Patron of the Royal Opera House since 2009 and President of the Royal Ballet since 2003, remains a great supporter of the arts. He was greeted by applause as he joined Sir Antonio and the lead musicians on stage.
King Charles' recognition of Sir Antonio's career follows a series of engagements for the monarch, who attended five public events in the past 48 hours. When asked about his health, he replied: "Not too bad."
