Olly snatches the Sanremo victory, but the public 'protests'!

The finale of the Sanremo Festival closed amidst controversy and strong emotions.

Olly was declared the winner of the festival, while Lucio Corsi came in second and Brunori Sas came in third.

Giorgia, who failed to make it into the final five, was greeted with cheers from the audience.

The elimination of Achille Lauro, who finished in seventh place, caused a strong reaction from the public. The festival achieved a record viewership of 70.8%, a spectacular figure.

For the final night, Conti had chosen two lively and upbeat co-hosts, Alessia Marcuzzi and Alessandro Cattelan, who brought energy and humor.

The competition was opened by Francesca Michielin, who, despite an ankle injury, challenged everything with 12 cm heels. Tears were not lacking: excited, she thanked her mother in the hall. In the same vein, Rocco Hunt sang “Mille vote ancora”, addressing his mother in the audience, who could not contain her emotions. Even Olly, after performing “Balorda nostalgia”, did not forget to say: “Thank you, mom!”.

Marcuzzi, dressed in a black dress that revealed her back, made a theatrical entrance, while Cattelan, dressed entirely in white, gave the stage a '90s touch, bringing back memories of Piero Chiambretti at the 1997 festival.
