Actress Egla Ceno has announced her resignation from her job as an actress at the Skampa Theater in Elbasan. The reason for this was a clash with the director of the institution, who, according to the journalist, has not given her her salary of 55 thousand new lek for two months. The reason for this was the fact that the actress participated in a performance at the Experimental Theater in Tirana.
"Public thanks to the "Skampa" Theater for the "collaboration" I have had until today. It has been an unforgettable experience; especially the moment when it was decided to take away my salary just because I participated in the play "Father" at the National Experimental Theater (at least this was the pretext that was communicated to me). An "artistic" action with great finesse, which speaks volumes about the way work, the artist and the person are valued.
As for the conductor? Bravo. You hit the "creative decision-making" with real style. That's all I have for the conductor! God be with you, you've been taking away my mother's babies for two months (550 old lek salary). I move forward, stronger and clearer than ever about what I deserve and what I don't accept.
"I love Skampa and Elbasan infinitely and I am only grateful for the love of the public. This is a story of the directorship but I have the "fight" with the stage not with the directorship, so wonderful Elbasan, please accept my resignation. I have you in my heart," Ceno writes in her post.
The actress has been part of the Elbasan Theater scene for years, while the clash with director Kliton Kapaj seems to have been the reason for her departure from this institution.
