A former police officer from Catalonia in Spain and two other passengers on the Barcelona metro became the protagonists of a heroic act after saving a person who fell onto the train tracks at the Plaça Espanya station.
Security camera footage, published on social media, shows the man walking drunk on the platform, before slipping and falling onto the tracks.
The former agent, with over 30 years of experience in security, reacted immediately.
After realizing the dire situation, she first activated the station's emergency button and then jumped onto the tracks, followed by two other men, to come to his aid.
Thanks to quick intervention, they managed to quickly get him out to a safe area, moments before the train arrived.
